Ciphers

Freestyling with my handwriting,  I realize how much of Graphic Design is instinctual. We look at something and can tell if it is good or bad. Ciphers work the same way, the harder it is to crack—the more robust the design.

Digital ciphers are ever-evolving. But when you dive deeper into the definition, ciphers can literally be anything. A language is arguably a cipher and that is why I started with the Rosetta Stone. With that in mind, I created an interactive experience that was designed to overwhelm the user with information that made zero sense. The eraser tool is a way to add a flase layer of control that we feel in our digital world.

Getting lost in the world of ciphers made me feel helpless, an emotion that leaked into the research process and final output.
